WellSky Schedule PC | Monitor Placement Setup
Please use this article as a reference when setting up the computer and monitors.
There is another solutions article called "WellSky Schedule | Monitor Configuration Settings once you're done with this setup. It will show you how to configure the display once it's set up. Click here.
1. Remove the rubber feet from the bottom of the computers. This will allow the computer to be flushed with the wall when fastened with hook and loop fasteners.
2. Attach hook and loop fasteners to the computer. These should be rated to hold several pounds. The fasteners should be horizontal with the front of the computer.
3. The best way to mount this is to have the TV on the wall and approximate the computer to the lower right corner of the monitor. This will allow users to access the computer when needed. Avoid hiding the computer where it's unreachable. When you're ready, attach the computer as shown in the picture. Please note the orientation of the computer. The face of the computer is facing down. This will allow any user access to the power button and have the cables face upwards.
The easiest method is to firmly place the fastener on the computer first, then lightly place the other half of the fastener on the computer.
4. It's best to have the monitor removed for this step. Remove the adhesive then firmly push it against the wall. Then remove the computer off the wall.
5. Take the flathead screws (non-tapered) and screw into the velcro on the wall. This will help prevent the fasteners from falling off if the adhesive fails over time.
6. Attach ALL the cables to the computer first before mounting the computer. It will include two video cables and a power cable per setup. Place the HDMI end to HDMI 1 as shown in the picture. You can turn on the monitor after this point using the power button located at the bottom of the monitor.
One of the video cables will be an HDMI/DP cable meaning that on one end will be HDMI and the other end Display port. The display port side will go into the computer. Both TVs will use the HDMI 1 input as seen in the picture below (lower port).
7. The other end of the video cable will go into a Display Port and HDMI port of the computer. The power cable will plug into the wall and then hang over the TV stand to reach the computer. The power adapter will sit loosely on the computer.
If the computer needs input from a keyboard or mouse, please borrow it from the Nurse Station computers. There shouldn't be a permanent keyboard or mouse for this setup.
The monitor will need to be set up to merge the monitors. This will most likely require IT support. Please ensure you have a keyboard and mouse attached when this is needed. The result will look like this.
